What amenities are available onsite?
While we don’t have a gift shop or café onsite, we encourage visitors to explore the neighboring Hands On Children’s Museum or the nearby Olympia Farmers Market for unique finds and local flavors.
Are there bathrooms?
Bathrooms are available to all WET Science Center visitors.
Can I book the space for an event?
While we love hosting the community, the WET Science Center is dedicated to public use and is not available for private events or rentals.
Open Mon-Sat 10am-4pm
Do we need to purchase tickets or pay to visit the center?
Admission is free – enjoy the center and all events at no cost!
Can I take a tour of the treatment plant?
Plant tours are available to the public on select Saturdays throughout the year. Please check our events calendar for upcoming tour dates.
What age level is the center appropriate for?
Our exhibits and activities are designed for guests ages 8 and up. We have some exhibits that are appropriate for younger kids and toddlers too. Scavenger hunts are available for all ages. Ask the front desk staff for a clipboard on your next visit!
How long does it take to see everything?
Plan to spend about an hour to enjoy all of the exhibits and activities. Younger children may get through the activities more quickly.
Do your Saturday programs feature live animals?
For the safety of our guests, animal-themed events do not feature live animals except for some marine-themed partner events.
Can we bring food/drinks inside?
To keep things neat and tidy for lots of visitors throughout the day, food and drinks are not allowed in the WET Science Center. We encourage visitors to have a picnic in the plaza or near the wetland pond if the weather permits. Groups can arrange to have lunch in the WET Center classroom with pre-approved access.
Where can I park?
Free parking is available in the visit lot to the west of the WET Science Center near the cone shaped water feature. Metered parking is available on the street from 8 am to 5 pm, and street parking is free on weekends and holidays.
Can LOTT donate or sponsor my fundraiser?
As a public agency, we’re unable to provide fundraising donations or sponsorships – but we’re always cheering on great community efforts.
