Green Building
LOTT’s Regional Services Center in downtown Olympia houses administrative offices, the WET Science Center, a water quality laboratory, and meeting spaces. This high-performance building was designed and built to protect human and environmental health and has a LEED Platinum rating. Some of the building’s unique green features include:
- A cogeneration system providing on-site renewable energy and heat using methane gas from the wastewater treatment process
- The use of reclaimed water for toilet flushing, irrigation, and a decorative fountain
- Over 5,000 square feet of green roof
- Reclaimed and recycled content materials
